InShore Racing Delivers Excitement in the Gulf of Taranto

The Gulf of Taranto hosted another action-packed day of InShore racing on 18 June as part of the 2026 Giro d’Italia a Vela. Ideal weather conditions and winds reaching up to 15 knots provided the perfect setting for spectacular foiling competition.
The Waszp fleet successfully completed three races, while the WingFoil competitors managed one race before a sudden drop in wind speed prevented further flying conditions.
With the coastal programme concluded, attention now turns to the Offshore competition.
Tomorrow, the Bénéteau Figaro 3 fleet will depart Taranto for Syracuse, beginning the fourth stage of the Tour and another demanding challenge at sea.
